My career as a massage therapist began as a teenager when I was taught how to massage by my Physiotherapist aunt who I then assisted in her clinic in Romania. I gained a degree in Film Directing and had a short successful career as a TV film director in Bucharest. I moved to the UK in 2008 and unable to find a job as a film director I trained as a beauty therapist which re-awakened my passion to be a massage therapist.
I studied at the London School of Sports Massage in 2013/4 and qualified with a BTEC Level 5 in:
Since completing my diploma course I have broadened my clinical skills and experience further through:
I treat clients suffering a wide range of minor and chronic pain and injuries and aim to achieve more long lasting benefits by working to improve movement and posture with a variety of more advanced techniques as well as massage. My particular focus is on how the brain effects the neural pathways which can lead to poor muscular control and I use movement patterning exercises to try to correct this.
My clinical experience includes working with sportsman, musicians, singers, actors as well as those with disabilities and conditions that affect the nervous system such as Parkinson's disease. I have also worked successfully with children who have problems in walking, vision, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, sensory integration issues and orientation problems.

Natural Facelift Massage:
How Natural Facelift Works?
Between the skin and the muscles of the face is a thin layer of fatty adipose tissue which is actually part of a single continuous layer of connective tissue which surrounds the entire body. It sticks very strongly to the inside of the skin and they move together.
This layer needs a high moisture content to function well but over time this can deteriorate. With less fluid, toxins can accumulate and tissue fibres stick together so becoming less pliable and it starts to ‘shrivels-up’. This is what makes the wrinkles appear on the surface of the skin
The Natural Facelift programme addresses these issues in several ways:
Physiological
It treats the layer of adipose tissue, helping rehydrate it, remove toxins and loosens the fibres it improves its pliability. At the same time, it also stretches out the wrinkles in the skin so the now ‘puffed-up’ adipose layer beneath it can fill them in from below. These stretching techniques do not make the skin any looser, they improve the skins elasticity which makes it healthier and more toned.
Muscular
It is the constant repetitive facial expressions we make with our muscles that encourage the wrinkles to form where they do. So the natural facelift programme includes deep massage of the face muscles along with exercises for long-term maintenance.
Energy
The muscles of the face are unique because they attach to the skin and not bones, and we use them to express our emotions in a subconscious way. So the treatment includes working on the energy meridians, reflexology and pressure points in the face to promote a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation.
Cleansing
The programme includes face cleansing and skin rejuvenating treatments using natural Ayurvedic herbs which work on a cellular level to reduce wrinkles and fine-lines as well as helping remove dead skin and stimulate the formation of fresh new skin.
The Programme
All clients are different and some will need more sessions than others so I discuss a personal treatment plan with each client. The basic programme includes three treatment sessions because this is the minimum number it normally takes to achieve significantly noticeable results.

With my clinical training and experience, it was especially rewarding for me to observe the way my child discovered for himself how to stand, walk, run and talk. Like all of us, he did all this before he could read a training manual or take instructions. We all learn these most complex movements on a sensory level, playing with random movements, which is a part of brain development, and following the pure desire to achieve something favourable. In this way we develop all our automatic patterns of movement that carry us through our daily lives without us paying any attention to them.
But as we go through life, the variety of our movement experiences reduce as we drift into more repetitive and habitual lifestyles. And over time our movement patterns can become altered by other stresses in life, both physical and emotional. Injury and pain will affect the way we move, and if our mobility is not smooth and efficient this can lead to pain.
By combining a range of my skills and experience I use somatic movement to improve vision and eye health, control pain and become stronger, increase vitality, ease pain with breathing and visualisation, increase range of movement and balance, improve mobility with relaxing exercises and discover your body’s inner resources.
The programme has three stages; sitting, laying and standing which require 10 sessions (Monday to Friday on two consecutive weeks)
When my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s along with Long-Covid and Thrombosis I used online Zoom platform to work with him. Using this programme of just ten sessions we had a significant improvement in his tremor, swelling in his leg reduced and there was a marked improvement in his balance and stability. He continues to do the movements and his symptoms remain very mild.
This success Online Zoom Classes is suitable for all ages and has encouraged me to deliver my programme to small groups more regularly.

Testimonials :
1. I started visiting Ruxi because I had struggled with a lower back and neck injury for years, following a motorbike crash ten years ago. I had tried all sorts of treatment; physio, PTSD therapy, massage, yoga, exercise, rest, and osteopathy. I had found all would help with the symptoms for a short period of time, but that they’d come back.
In the last two years or so, as I had ramped up my sport to take part in triathlons, I’d found it was getting worse; my back would ‘go’ all of a sudden and I would be on painkillers and off exercising for weeks. I knew that I was quad dominant in sport so pulling forward wouldn’t help, so became hooked on having to stretch for a good half hour every evening to try to prevent it all seizing up. My neck had become really problematic. It would lock up due to the bottom joint on the right, post accident, and become a headache across the right side and jaw clenching that I would often be lying in bed for 6+ hours trying to recover, like a migraine.
My neck was the first bit that Ruxi managed to sort out. She demonstrated to me that I was holding my neck out and forward and off centre, meaning poor communication with the rest of my body. With seemingly simple exercises the result has been staggering; I’ve only had one or two episodes of very bad headaches from the neck since, and that would be due to a hard session on the bike or something like a sea swim where my head was being held in an unusual position.
Most remarkable – however – was the side effect which happened when we started the treatment. A combination of deep tissue massage and exercises did several other things:
- I had experienced almost daily a ‘juddering’ in my diaphragm (as I felt it), which as it happened to be a nervous system disconnect, suddenly stopped happening post treatment and I’ve only had it a couple of times in six months
- Ruxi had told me that strange thoughts and feeling can bubble up to the surface, but I hadn’t expected a sudden memory to hit me – apparently with no other obvious trigger – of a borderline sexual assault which was terrifying when I was 14, and had completely buried and never once remembered until a month or so into treatemtn with Ruxi.
- My back has now started to loosen up
- I’ve felt generally much calmer in my approach to life, and more philosophical.
Thanks for giving me a pain free lifestyle! Jules
2. Hope all is well with you and the baby... just wanted to drop you a note regards our rehabilitation journey. I want to say today is the 5 yr anniversary of when I had my stroke... and the past 6 months with you has transformed my life what I thought was a full recovery was miles away from what you have given to me... I now realise what I have now is never going to be 100% but it is very close and so much more than I had before I met you... I can not thank you enough... you have made a huge difference to me and my family’s life... thank you.... James.
3. I was first recommended to see Ruxi by a friend last year, my job and general level of activity day to day means I’m usually very tight and experience pains and niggles regularly. Ruxi is always super professional and explains what she is doing as she is doing it. As soon as I get up from the massage table I feel the instant benefits, I feel more mobile and a lot less tight. This coincides with feeling a lot more relaxed mentally and a lot less stressed.
Lately I have experienced a more serious injury to my spine meaning I was also experiencing severe nerve pain, Ruxi was able to relieve the pain after a massage but wanting to go that little bit further, encouraged me to take part in a 10 day course over Online Zoom involving small body movements to encourage mobility in my spine, to create space between the vertebrae and in turn reduce pain. Generally I feel a lot better as a result of this. The changes in pain levels were dramatic and Ruxi was patient and encouraging whilst making me understand the importance of such movements and even explained the importance of being ‘in line with your body and brain’.
To conclude, Ruxi is a simply a great person who can’t do enough for you, before she even starts with therapy. As far as therapy goes, her treatments are relaxing and not too painful (only sometimes ha) she’s comprehensive in her explanation and her treatment and makes sure to address the area of pain but also the route of the pain.
I would highly recommend!
Thanks Ro.
4. I highly recommend Ruxi as a therapist both for the deep sports massages she does for me frequently re-aligning and easing off the muscle and joint pains I can frequently suffer as someone who is hypermobile; and the somatic/sensory integration work she did with my son who was diagnose with ADHD, both when he was younger, and as a teenager.
The mind-body work with my son has been a way that he has accessed support that he might have rejected had it been offered more directly/verbally. He enjoys the explanations and science as well as the impact on his body and wellbeing. I frequently recommend Ruxi to friends, for both themselves and their children and they too have found her both very personable and very effective.
Thank you J.
